COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered. Keg.
Brugse Zot Dubbel is a dark brown beer, inclining towards ruby red. It is brewed with six special varieties of malt, which give the beer a rich and distrinctive aroma. One can discover the scent of honey, almonds, chocolate and brown sugar. By using the Czech Saaz hop from Zatec, the beer has a complex palate of roasted malts and a distrinctive flavour. Brugse Zot Dubbel is known to leave a warm glow in the mouth with a bitter and hoppy finish, leaning towards liquorice and coffee roast. Bottle conditioned.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, sugar, Saaz hops, yeast.

Had at De Halve Maan in Brugge. Not a bad dubel but like it’s the other Zot not a super great example. Lacks a certain something. Serving: Tap

biilz (210) - SPAIN - NOV 19, 2017
Весьма сносный дюббель. Аромат слегка сладковат. Вкус в основном карамельный. Также четко ощущается легкий жженый солод а также черный хлеб. Послевкусие черного хлеба, имеется кислинка.

330ml brown bottle. Zot pours out of the bottle a hazy dark brown, the head is surprisingly lively and pillowly, great looking beer in the glass. The aroma of this beer is upfront with beligan yeast notes, fruity notes of raisins and soft chocolate come in later. In the mouth the beer shows notes of sourish bitter chocolate malts, raisin and light toasty notes. Carboantion is very lively and borders on prickly on the tongue. Aftertaste is soft and chocolatey with grains. Overall a pleasant dubbel, not my favourite example of the style but absolutely worth a pour...

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2017 Molto fruttata, leggera nonostante i 7,5%. Da abbinare a carni aromatizzate e dolci.

rumore (769) - Rimini, ITALY - NOV 7, 2017
33cl bottle from Iperconad, Rimini, Italy. Pours a beautiful reddish brown, dark, with fine brownish foam. Aroma is caramel, fruits under spirits, cherries. Body is average with good carbonation. Just a bit of stickiness. Taste is definitely sweet, with minimum bitterness. Finish is average in length, but with a nice liquor feeling coming through the back of the nose.

metalspice (1083) - Jevnaker, NORWAY - OCT 27, 2017
Klart brunt med lavt skum. Mye banan og noe nøtter og karamell i duften. Banan også i smaken, her også sammen med karamell og nøtter. En besk avslutning trekker ned helhetsinntrykket.

Zilverenmaan (276) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 6, 2017
75 cl bottle. Poors rather thin caramel brown with white head, aroma and taste some hints of red fruits, not too boring but mostly candi sugar. MF soft, alcohol well hidden. Clean and easy drinkable but no thrills either.

Well crafted, balanced Dubbel, with its sweet elements and brown appearance.

JaKeAFC (1284) - ITALY - AUG 26, 2017
On tap at the brewery. deep red burgundy color with a creamy offwhite head, persistent, lacing. Aroma is juicy with berries, roasted malts, spruce resin, fresh wood and noble hops. Taste is sharp, balanced, juicy. Pleasant sweet tones washes away by gentle bitter and delicately sour aftertaste. Long aromatic finish. High carbonation, medium to full body. Nice dubbel, pleasing.
