COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered. Keg.
Brugse Zot Dubbel is a dark brown beer, inclining towards ruby red. It is brewed with six special varieties of malt, which give the beer a rich and distrinctive aroma. One can discover the scent of honey, almonds, chocolate and brown sugar. By using the Czech Saaz hop from Zatec, the beer has a complex palate of roasted malts and a distrinctive flavour. Brugse Zot Dubbel is known to leave a warm glow in the mouth with a bitter and hoppy finish, leaning towards liquorice and coffee roast. Bottle conditioned.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, sugar, Saaz hops, yeast.

oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JAN 6, 2007
Bottled. Pours a very murky dark brown almost opaque colour and has a huge creamy beige head. Aroma is alcohol, acidic fruits and some toffee. Flavour is toffee, malts and alcohol. Slight metallicness in the finish. Quite thin and watery palate. The alcohol in aroma and flavour pretty much ruins it.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2007 Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Mahogany colour, brief head. Woody nose with plums and nuts. Medium sweet with elegant, slender mouthfeel and flavour profile. Restrained almondy yeast character. The greatness of this beer is the restrained, unintrusive flavours together with the elegans, making me curious to try more.
