In 2005 Xavier Vanneste, son of Mrs Véronique Maes, renovated and restarted the old brewery which had been in the family since 1856. He launched Brugse Zot, a new beer with a unique recipe. Today Brugse Zot is the only beer brewed in Bruges’ town centre!
The people of Bruges are known as "Brugse Zotten" (Bruges Fools), also known as "Brugse Jonckers"

Paladares (229) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 3, 2017
Botella. Color ámbar claro. Turbia.

DuffMan (10435) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 15, 2017
Bottle. Hazy orange with a lively head that leaves scant lace. Aroma is sweet and yeasty. Flavours of cooked peaches and bready yeast, pretty simple but pleasant enough I suppose.

Bottle. Nose is grassy, bread, hint of spice and pepper, malt, soft fruit, peach, strawberry. Taste is grassy, dough, herbal hop, summer fruit, spice, herbal hop, earth. Pleasing refreshing and dry medicinal finish. A very pleasant and nicely poised example.

vinivini (2438) - Gomel, BELARUS - FEB 3, 2017
Bottle. Opaque golden colour, bid white dense head. Good retention. Aroma: overripe fruit, cheesy phenols (almost smoky), spicy yeast, berries (I guess cranberries). Fine aroma. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Malts and yeast cooperate to form the flavour profile. It is not as intense as the nose. Fruity. Lightly sweet, spicy. Low bitterness. Good drinkability. Somewhat hollow on finish. Generally a lovely one that may have some questionable points.

rodsquad (244) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - JAN 28, 2017
Bottle as gift. Pours hazy golden with foamy off-white head. Big citrus hop aroma with pineapple, sherbet and pine needles. Tastes of clean hops with a bready malt presence. Sharp, sparkling body. Nice and light. A pure, clean, fresh Belgian beer.

AnG_BrgNor (719) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 28, 2017
Bottle. Yeasty aroma wuth some citrus. Citrus and yeast in the taste as well, but taste includes malt. Fresh. Slightly bitter ending, but still a bit boring.
