Bottle; Unfiltered.
In 2005 Xavier Vanneste, son of Mrs Vronique Maes, renovated and restarted the old brewery which had been in the family since 1856. He launched Brugse Zot, a new beer with a unique recipe. Today Brugse Zot is the only beer brewed in Bruges town centre!
The people of Bruges are known as "Brugse Zotten" (Bruges Fools), also known as "Brugse Jonckers"

Bottle at Wachi. Pale amber color with a fine head. Dry, minerally nose with some fruit and light malts. Dry, clean flavor, light spicy yeast and non-sweet fruits. Light and clean with a slight tart edge and enough grassy hop bitterness. Interesting in its clean dryness. Good as a session beer, though flavors are muted.

Blond, big white head. Hoppy aroma. Watery taste, quite hoppy, not much for finish though.

Bottle. Damn skippy its unfiltered -- it looks like a snowglobe. Pours a hazy gold with a white, pillowy head. Nose is mostly non-descript; I cant say it smells like much except Belgian beer, which isnt inherently a bad thing. Its nutty and citrusy, but it doesnt have much of a base to it. Its all right, but it isnt great.

Nice Beligum ale. Had tried it at the brewery a few years ago, and the bottle brought back lots of memories.

Pint from Belgos. 1 finger head, clear, paler than other belgian beers ive tried. Smelled of belgian yeast. Tasted of slightly sour fruits with some wheat. Smooth mouthfull, easy to drink. Most sessionable belgian ale so far, not overly complex but good.

On tap at the brouwerij De Halve Maan in Brugge on 12-08-10 (3,30 euro). Slightly cloudy, amber color with thin light head. Crisp, clean taste, almost like a Pilsner. Kind of like Leffe, but lighter and less body. Much prefer their other beers, but solid.

great for a blond. I love Belgian beer though. Good flavor, clean crisp, easy drinking for Belgian, for a light beer drinker, u get a good flavor, good strength, tasty all around well crafted brew. I like it and my wife had 4 of them. Totally nice all in all, good price, try it
