Squat bottle. Dark, little foam when poured in a Chimay glass. Rich with plums, caramel and a hint of anise. But not as rich as other Dubbels. Good, but not worth the price.

Hermod (8980) - Vantaa, FINLAND - DEC 4, 2017
33cl bottle, from Alko. Bbe 04/2019. Poured mahogany deep color, thin, lasting off white head. Looks great. So is the aroma, ripe fruits, plums, caramelized sugar. Hint of tartness in the dark fades away and gives room to plummy goodness, caramel glazed dates. Some alc warmth. Lovely Belgian ale overall.

3.4
jookos (7296) - FINLAND - NOV 17, 2017
Bottle, alko inkoo. Dark brown. Dark bready malty nose with hints of licorice, chocolate, mild spicyness. Med bodied, easy drinker, clean finish. Real easy and mellow.

3.5
Marstonlad (1039) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 15, 2017
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours dark brown with a little white head. The aroma features sweet maltiness, ripe fruitiness and a touch of spiciness. Taste is medium to heavily sweet, displaying caramel, syrup and dark plummy and fig-themed fruitiness. The palate is medium-bodied and average in carbonation, surprisingly light-bodied given the strength. Sweetness is slightly overpowering; decent, still.
