2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
33cl bottle, imported. A random pick-6 from my local bottle shop. Can’t really make out the bottle date, but it looks old and the "09" is marked, I assume a 2009 vintage. Initial pour has some carbonation & head, quickly dissipating into a flat ruby-brown mixture with yeast chunks. Really looks awful. Typical Noel beer aroma; lots of clove, cinnamon & nutmeg with burnt brown sugar. Flavor follows suit with cloying malt base and not enough hops bitterness to balance it all out. Slightly oily on the palate with light effervescence. Maybe past its prime.
Una Belgian Strong Ale de color marrón turbio y media carbonatación. Su aroma es floral y con toques de caramelo. Su sabor es a caramelo y con toques de leche con chocolate.

Hazy brown colour, big tan head that fades away quickly. Aroma is very complex: lots of cinnamon, cider, maple syrup, banana, ginger, herbal hops and a heavy alcohol hint overall. Taste is less complex but enjoyable as well; have cinnamon, apples, resin, kind of sweet with a blend of sour and a REALLY strong alcoholic sensation. Full body, soft carbonation and heavy astringent finish. Very underrated here on RB, is a nice belgian ale. mice (1102) - FINLAND - AUG 10, 2016
Feb. ’16. A 0.33 l traditional fat little Belgian bottle, an incredible gusher like I’ve never seen before, I messed up everything around. Hazy brown body. Fine, sweet aroma of chocolate, caramel, banana, spices like pepper, coriander...lots of things here, very complex. Flavor was less sweet, and less complex but still enjoyable. Caramel, light bread/yeast, spiced up with coriander, oak wood and touch of smoke. Medium bodied with moderately long woody and caramel finish. Alcohol was quite well hidden, only warmed a bit at the end. Very good!shrubber85 (11710) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 27, 2015
And I see now how underestimated is here on RB, with just the opposite of the two relatively ugly beers I just had before! Ah...
Bottle. Strong cinnamon, nutmeg, and chocolate malt aroma. Cloudy brown with small head. Sweet earthy cinnamon, light nutmeg, chocolate malt and mildly bitter herbal flavor. Very good - spicy but doesn’t taste like a mulled wine or pumpkin pie.

Smell of cherry with dark amber color. Lot of foam. Taste wasn’t good, felt a little bit like they put some Tide in it. For an expensive noël Belgian beer i was disappointed. Rasmus40 (22173) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 25, 2014
Bottle from Prima Beer. Clear amber brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Very short finish. 251214 BlazerT (1336) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - DEC 24, 2014
Heavy, spicy Christmas Ale. Not very drinkable, tons of malts and spices. Weird mineral taste and flavour. jmgreenuk (10386) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - DEC 21, 2014
Bottle at the OBER Kerstbier festival, Essen 2014. Poured a murky medium brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is caramel, sweet malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with a light mineral aspirin earthy palate. Light bodied with lively carbonation.
