Cloudy deep amber color, huge off-white head. Caramel aroma, caramel taste with some gas notes. Average carbonation, thin to medium body. Boring. //Craft Room

Thick-set yellowish head, slowly collapsing over faintly hazy amber beer. Toasted & herbal nose, even a bit burnt bread. Herbal going towards insectoid. Toaste towards roasted, breadcrust; faintly herbal flavours too. Quite dry finish. Rather fizzy carbonation, very slick to sticky, medium bodied. Ho-hum.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Clear amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma with some hops. Semi-sweet earthy taste with a slight hoppy finish. Quite nice and the first tasty gluten free beer I’ve ever had.

Bottle from local Yamaya store. Nose of dirty, earthy yeast, light caramel, small bit of pepper, and a fairly metallic character. Dark apple juice color, thick off-white head. Sweet malt initial, hint of chocolate, spice, some yeast, and a lightly harsh peppery finish. Medium body, a bit too filling (heavy and very active carbonation). Hmmm. Unusual, to be sure. Fairly muddled flavors.

F: huge off-white, very long lasting. C: orange to amber/brown hazy opaque. A: caramel malt, toffee, molasses, yeast, hint of orange peels, hint of grassy hops. T: light malt, some banana like, fruity, hint of bitterness, grassy, medium body, lively carbonation, caramel, toffee, interesting but not so good, but I know that gluten free taste boring so ok, taste it.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 6/2014. Pours hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of apricot, strawberry, plum, pear, apple, pepper, clove, caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of apricot, strawberry, plum, pear, apple, pepper, clove, caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, strawberry, pear, apple, caramel, toast, biscuit, brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian amber ale style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
