Cask conditioned - handpump - Brunswick Derby. A black mild with a nice wispy white head. The aroma has lots of roasted malts and some coffee notes, whereas the taste has more of the same in a nicely balanced way. A very tasty mild at a good low ABV. A Sim rate (cask at Chelmsford BF): Great for a mild. Smells like wine or a very spicy dressing. Grapes, cherries. Bit of chocolate and caramel. Nice and tangy. Nice creamy aftertaste. berkshirejohn (6448) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2008

Cask (handpump) Brunswick Inn. Avoids the dishwater trap of too many middling milds today, manages to mine a slim vein of subtle roasts and tangential bitterness. For a ’house mild’ it’s a good drop.
