Bottle at home, bought at Geers. Very dry, chocolate, caramel, ends very dry. Maybe a bit too much. Maarten1993 (1420) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 5, 2016
Drank with Bram before going to "Gekkenhuis" @ Merleyn to attend Marijn’s first DJ gig. Very clear liquorice. Also chocolate ending. Watery in the beginning. Soft body. bastarda (506) - Freiburg, GERMANY - MAY 13, 2016
A mud-colored beer with coarse aesthetics. Nose: coffee/espresso dregs morphing into ash, metal morphing into mineral. Taste: espresso dregs (like licking the inside of a cafetiere, roast, coarse bitterness. I couldn’t taste any trace of nutmeg.
Swaroga (2224) - Warszawa, POLAND - APR 27, 2016
Clear brown with dirty white head. The beer has some roasted, spicy and some little coffee aromas in it. Watery body and delicate carbonation. Still oily texture. Flavor is rye bread dry with earthy and spicy finish. Some dry toffee in it too. Overall a thirst quencher and good for a pint after work kind a beer. Why not. yespr (49173) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 24, 2016
33 cl bottle. Pours pitch black with a huge off white head. Aroma is toasted malty, slight breadish. Roasted, mild yeasty. Dry, roasted, bitter and dark malty. Dry, roasted, bitter and dark malty finish. Hopverdju (1715) - BELGIUM - MAR 8, 2016
Kastanjebruin bier met beige schuim. Geur: weinig, wat gebrande mout. Met wat meer zuurstof en iets warmer krijgt men koffie. Smaak: bitter, geroosterde mout, wat peper. Romig mondgevoel. Weinig koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: bitter en iets droog. bartlebier (4242) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - FEB 18, 2016
33cl @Bierhandlung Freiburg. Thinnish chocolate brown pour. Thin rather than subtle in aroma as well: water hazelnut paste (Nutella), a naturally sweet porridge sensation like milk chocolate in oats. About the same in flavour: mouthfeel both creamy with watery pockets, transporting: a "light" porter with a Belgian bent offering some plum marmelade in between the timid powder cocoa-coated nutty flourishes. Rather tentative - has this refreshingly experimental new brewery settled on a trademark style or flagship brew yet? mike_77 (7369) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - FEB 17, 2016
Aroma has light coffee and some roast malts. Flavour is a tad more intense with strong bitter, roasted dark malt overtones and a bittersweet cocoa finish.
