Bottle at home. Brown color, big beige head. Nice aroma and a very good taste, creamy, full bodied. Very nice.

hohops (1096) - Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2017
Appearance- dark, murky brown, a giant beige head of around 4 fingers which hangs around. Aroma- dark malts, lots of toffee and caramel, biscuity malt, raisin, brown bread. Taste- coffee, dark bready malt, milk chocolate, hop bitterness, some dark fruits alongside citrus fruit, treacle, burnt toast, caramel. Tasty, certainly more black than IPA.

Villyzzz (452) - Espoo, FINLAND - NOV 3, 2017
Bottle at home. Pours black with a big off-white head. Aroma has hops and fruit. Taste is hoppy citrus with malt. Pretty nice.

3.8
Grumbo (3952) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2017
Bottle from Woodbridge Wines, Woodbridge, Suffolk. Pours very dark brown with a long lasting foamy off-white to beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, toffee, malt, nut, hop and treacle. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily texture, soft carbonation. Good brew.

3.3
hauxe (935) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - OCT 22, 2017
Pours brown with a light tan head that turns whispy and lingers. Aroma is pine with light cacao undertones. Taste is mildly sweet/sour up front, turning sour with mild bitterness at the finish. Body is medium, a touch oily. Good but far from my favorite bIPA.

3.4
jjsint (3492) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2017
Note from Cafe Bruxelles, Leicester. Dark brown, clear with a loose tan head. Black cherry, some resin, toffee and burnt malts in the aroma. Sweet initial taste with a flavourful nutty roast character near the finish. Leafy hops on the aftertaste. This is pretty decent.

0.33l bottle brougth from brewery. Hopy and light malty aroma, citrus fruit notes, light coffee notes. Dark brown color, beige head. Malty and hopy taste, citrus fruit notes, light coffee and toffee notes, light sour notes, medium bitter. Medium to full body, slick texture, soft to medium carbonation and malty and hopy biter finish. Very good hops dominating black IPA.
