BlackHaddock (6629) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2016
7th Feb 2016:33cl bottle. Drank by recommendation in the new K & S Beer & Tobacco store/tasting room in Brugge. One of the young lads fronting the place said it was worth trying and he was right. Even though I am not a big citrus flavoured beer man this was both interesting and refreshing. Slight haze on the pour, weak wispy head. The nose and taste are dominated by the Citra hops although you can detect some yeast and spice elements within the brew they have to be found. A pleasant refreshing IPA, had a few during the long weekend we had in Brugge: makes a change from the usual heavy hitters I tend to find and drink when in the city.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%, IBU 45. Hops are Challenger, Smaragd and Citra. Hazy deep golden colour, large to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of herbal and citrussy hops, also notes of tropical fruits and "spicy" saison yeast. Spicy and herbal flavour, fruity notes too, combines the saison yeast and distinct hops successfully. Good beer.
