Hazy gold beer with a little white head. Palate is minerally crisp and dry. Light creamy malt, semi dry. Orangey hops, a little tangy and a little sharp with a good dose of lemon. Finishes smooth with a mellow bitter linger. Pretty decent - like the hop profile and hope to try Smaragd hops again.

Bottle @ Uncle Babe’s Burger Bar, Ghent. Hazy golden with a bog and lasting white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Perhaps I’m overrating this a bit, but it was really nice to get a fairly fresh IPA after a few days in Belgium with a nothing but Belgian style beers. Off course that’s what you go to Belgium for, but a fresh IPA is always good :-) 190317
