This typical beer from Brussels finds its origin in the XIXth century. Slightly sugared and brewed on the basis of wheat beer and 100% natural fruit juice, it gives off a delicious taste of fruit which makes the happiness of the people of Brussels. A very refreshing, light and thirst-quenching beer. Rich and charming fragrance of red fruit and berries with some scents of flowers. Bottled 0,33L. Very bubbly ruby reddish color with a foamy and creamy head of long duration, realy elegant aspect for this kind of beer. Fresh and spiced fruity aroma, note of red aged grapes, rasperry, lemon and strawberry. Pleasant prickly and acidulous taste, equilibrate sweetish mouth, perfumed and discreet long final.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Orange-pink pour with a white head. The aroma is full of cherries and raspberries. The flavor is very fruity and very sweet, with a ton of raspberries and cherries. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Translucent rose red colour; Moderate head and white foam; Lacing is rather weak; Good carbonation throughout; Light body; Aroma of raspberry, blueberry, malt and strong vine; Very subdued sweet taste of raspberry and cherry, light vinery and significant dry taste. No hop bitterness or tartness, and easy to mouth.

Comments: compared to Brussels Peaches, this one tastes a lot less sweeter despite the taste of raspberry / cherry fruit juice is still dominant. When many fruit beers / lambics suffered from over-sweetness, this one is a breath of fresh air to me. A low key but no less enjoyable alternative to Brussels Peaches after a heavy meal, or in the Summer.

Bottle from a 200 beers beershop in Brussels. Hazy pink coloured beer, white dissapearing head. Very strong candy-like fruity aroma. Taste is also very, very sweet, a bit artificial too. I bet the girls love it.

330ml Bottle - Red with a pinkish white head. Sweet and perfumed aroma with notes of red berries standing out. Sweet taste with berries and a slightly bitter element. Refreshing, but more like a soft drink.

Tasting from way back in 2007.
A candi-apple, musky red in colour just shy of bright, with a creamy pinkish hued dollop on top. Head is well retained with a fine lace. Releases but a light breath of ripe berries, maybe a little wheat. Quite smooth and creamy in mouthfeel, very light in body. Sweet fruit sugars, summer mix of concetrated berry juice, a little lime zest and sweet pear drops give a candyish effect. Dusty wheat and pale malt lingers in the swallow. Not much else here. A little bit effeminate for me. At least it is quite a refreshing glass of fruit juice! (33cL, 4.3% ABV, BB 14/07/07, Intl Beer Store, W. Leederville)

330 ml bottle. Red amber colour. Cloudy. Medium-sized pinkish white head that clings to the glass. Soft fruity aroma. Red berries indeed. Light acidic body. Quite refreshing, but this is more like a soda than a beer. Dull, but refreshing.

Trouve Vanuxeem - Ploegstaert

0.33 L bottle, picked up @Jacobs, Oslo. Tall red-shaded blond head. Body is hazed, deep orangey red. Smells jusy like Bassetts soft chewing candy with an acidic touch to it. Taste is sappy-fruity with some ascorbine-acids added. Light and sticky in the mouth. A soda-pop disguised as a beer. Yucky!
