Pours brownish orange with a small off white top. Aroma is dried fruits, toffee and cereal malts. Taste is fizzy as it plays on the tongue, fruity with sweet toffee and finishes with a little bitterness and malt.

Belle surprise. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gerbeer (3749) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 20, 2013
330 ml bottle. Pours a darkish brown with almost no head. Aromas of spice, orange peel, roasted malts, and dark caramel. Very light flavors of roasted malts, liquorice, and dried dark fruit. Light bitter finish.

probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 5, 2013
750 ml bottle from SAQ, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear deep copper with a nice tan head. Aroma: Rich, sweet, malty, lots of toffee and dark dried fruits, yeast notes, citrus peel, lightly spicy, a touch of brighter fruitiness, quite friendly. Palate: Medium+ body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: Much like the nose...lots of sweet, rich malts, quite fruity, some citrus and light spice, a bit of yeast, brown sugar, a little booze comes through, nice; sweet with sufficient bitterness for balance and a long, thick, sweet, malty finish.

A rather nice sipper.

"Momus" is a Belgian-styled ale brewed by Brùton, I believe one of the recent additions by the second brewer Andrea Riccio; quite sweet and fruity, with reasonable complexity and high warming capacity.

Pours a clear and light brown, a bit out of style if you ask me. It is topped by a thin offwhite head that doesn’t stay and only offers minimal lacing. Aroma is spicy but also carries some burnt caramel. Taste is sweet and spicy, bordering on cloying. Weird enough, body is kind of light. Carbonation level is medium. An OK dubbel but not something representative of the style.
