A Mes rate: bottle at home thanks to Mario.
Hazy mid brown colour with a good beige head. The characteristic Brýton hints of slight sourness and burnt malt, glorious spice and really tasty caramel. The spice is really upfront actually, and usually it would totally take over but somehow the rest of the beer still sings without any effort. Superb lick of alcohol and sourness in the finish that really makes it. Kinda an odd balance of citrus and burnt malt with a assertive sour feel. Itís just bloody lovely. Another excellent beer from Brýton, thanks Mario.

My Bottom Line:
Saliva-inducing dessert spiciness (cinnamon and nutmeg, mostly) grows within a dense dark bread which seems to house candied cherries, cranberries and orange peel, creating an amazingly nourishing and cohesive panpepato of strong ales.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam sits atop the auburn brown opacity.
-Mulled, this would become somewhat of a Tuscan hypocrase. Iíd be curious to try.
-The body is rich (akin to good Barley Wines), but the sweetness never overwhelms due to the alcohol and leafy hops which peek through the finish.
-Honey is a welcome addition to the already complex flavor profile and sits well between all the voices present.
-The complex spice nose and dense malt deployment make this Christmas offering extremely enjoyable and full of personality.
-The malt signature is redolent of a bigger Momus.
-If you like panpepato, you should fall in love with this beer. If youíd be interested in an Imperial Gruit made especially for Christmas, this one is also for you.

Bottle at Chancey Smith, with Milos. Glad I caught up with this. Dark brown with an off- white pretty foamy head. A bit funky aroma. Sweet spicey, honey not noticeable up front, corriander, ginger, basil, oregeno and dill, fruity. Very drinkable and unique. Easy mouthfeel, though some sourness in the finish way offset by the sweet spice.

750ml capped bottle pours a hazy dark brown color with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild with some caramel and honey and hints of spices. Taste is a honey and caramel malty sweetness with hints of spice and a mild herbal hop bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. A very interesting and unique ale that is highly recommended.

750 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown/mahogany with full head. Aromas of toffee, cola, roasted malts and honey. Flavors of caramel, dark fruit, licorice, and spice. Very similar to a Belgian Abbey style though a little lighter and smoother.
