Aroma has toffee and hay. Flavour is sweetish with toffee, English hops and hints of caramel. Also some slight resiny notes. Very English and more like strong ale than ESB.

Unde (1128) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 8, 2013

Marstonlad (939) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 15, 2013
Pours reddish amber with a little but dense white head. Aroma has fresh fruitiness and sweetish maltiness, also light hoppy notes which is a little less than expected. Taste is more typical for this style: the most prominent flavour comes from the hops. It is medium bitter and fruity; the finish is dry and bitter with grapefruit. Medium body, sharp mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. All in all this is a nice Finnish take on the traditional English beer style, very refreshing.

jookos (6948) - FINLAND - JUN 27, 2012
Tap, bruuveri. Amber, light brown. Slightly hazy. Malty, some very woody aromas, a bit of caramel. And spices. Quite bitter. Resins, malts, pine. A nice ipa, dry, bitter, malty, earthy and all. Reminds me a bit of some of sierra nevada’s offerings, but without such a clear citrus-cascady bite. This has been my fav from these guys for a number of years. Drinkable, but bitter and a bit strong. Just what you need before hopping on the bus away from a hard day of shopping at the mall.
