, Helsinki (backlog). Black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, roasted malts, some mild alcohol and a bit ashyness. Flavour is ashes, liquorice, roasted malts as well as some alcohol and mild grainy notes. Pleasant aftertaste. Good winter warming porter.
Draught at the brewpub (8.2 %, Feb 2009). Black color with creamy head. Sweetish, soft mildly roasty aroma. Rich bittersweet roasty flavor with plenty of salty licorice and coffee. Some grass, dark fruits, dark caramel and toffee are on the background. Rich and tasty stout. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 13, 2009
Black colored, little beige head. Roasted and chocolaty aroma with some artificial touch, mild alcohol also comes up. Medium bodied. Same cocoa-chocolate dominates in flavor, caramel and roastiness also present. Ok porter, rather sweet though. Aftertaste dries only slightly. mjs (7169) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 18, 2008

Black as your hat, small beige head. Sherbetty hoppy stout aroma - I am expecting some hops in this. Pleasant carbonation, but full soft palate. Big burnt body, and while pleasantly hopped, it is not exceedingly so. A touch of drying bitterness and burnt astringency. Undeniable stormer. Anna had it again later, and said there were more hops. UPDATED: DEC 12, 2008 Draught, Bruuveri. Very dark brown with a smallish, creamy, tanned and lacy head. Mild, roasty and lightly lactic-sour aroma with some burned maltiness. Roasty, lightly burned flavor with some sourness, hints of chocolate and spices, and vegetably fruitiness. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium body with rough charcoal feel and lowish carbonation. Ok, but quite straightforward, and slightly too burned for me. Tranquillity (2253) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 6, 2008
Pitch-black body, tiny small-bubbled beige head which lasts for a long time. Looks perfect. The aroma contains smoke, strong malt, rye bread and some mushrooms. Taste very full, not too much alcohol, with a pleasant long, bitter finish. Excellent first draft, but the beer is a bit unsurprising. Keep going strong, Bruuveri!
