, Helsinki (backlog). Reddish copper colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is herbs, some sweet malts and grains as well as mild nutty and vanillaish notes. Flavour is alcohol, some bitterness and mild toffee as well. A bit medicin like as it warms up a bit.
Hazy brown body, tanned head. Nice hoppy aroma with grassy american hop profile. Bitter, but 100 IBUs seem far too much. Some malt and lots of hops in flavour. Piney hop comes through. SaintMatty (7423) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - APR 18, 2010
Draught (Helsinki Beer Festival 2010) - Amber in colour. Slightly fruity aroma with hints of caramel and dried fruit. Tangy, hoppy and fruity taste with dried fruit, grapefruit and caramel. Marko (5753) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 17, 2010
Draught at HBF 2010, shared with SaintMatty. Poured a murky amber/red with an off white head. American hops in the nose, grapefruity in the sweetish nose. Nice sweet maltiness overrun by full hoppy bitterness, overall quite lovely. rosenbergh (11613) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 11, 2010

Dark copper-amber color, tiny white head. Sweetish berries and flowery hoppyness in the nose. Talvi is quite bitter like it’s American prototypes. Flavor has some strawberry jam and flowery hoppyness. Certainly this brew has similarities to some earlier Bruuveri beers.
Draugh at the brewpub. Dark amber color with small head. Sweetish caramelly aroma with fruity and sweaty hops. Bittersweet flavor with caramel, biscuity maltiness, firm bitterness and fruity hops. Low carbonation. Good firm taste. Last sip tastes a bit too caramelly. FatPhil (16388) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 21, 2010
Keg (Bruuveri, Helsinki)
Mid brown, small head. Massively fruity hoppy aroma, fresh grapefruits. Full bodied, sweet, and again massively fruity. A bit of a 1-dimensional brew, but it’s not over-the-top, and way more balanced than the US beers it’s probably modelled on. Powerful, but very drinkable.

Reddish copper color, no head. Herbal hop aroma. Bitter flavor with some alcohol. Medium-full body, very low carbonation. Reminded me mostly of jägermeister, especially when cold. And no one wants a pint of jäger.
(draught at Bruuveri) pours with large, lasting, off-white head that has good to excellent lacing. Body is clear, dark amber with dry and lively palate and light alcoholic finish. Taste starts with moderate bitterness and has hoppy aromas of spruce, grapefruit and bit of honey and moderate toasted malts and molasses. Served too cold, some hard to identify unpleasant side-flavor develops when it warms up.
