Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - SEP 1, 2012
On tap @ the brewpub! Had this at "Bruuveri Luostari"
The beer in the glass is brown and bright reddish with flat off-white head. It smells hoppy, fruity, subtly bitter and slightly yeasty with some roasted malts. The beer starts very roasty with subtle caramel notes, also hoppy, bitter and very fruity (plum especially). The middle part is also pleasantly hoppy, yeasty and again also very fruity bitter. Goes into a caramelly finish with lots of roasted malts, again very fruity and yeasty.

Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, malt bitter, burnt caramel - burnt sugar bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20100701]

mikkopen (1172) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 10, 2009
250 ml bottle @ Graali, Oulu. Reddish amber colour, very small white head. Sweet malty aroma with some nuts and dark fruits. The flavour is also rather on the sweet side, malty, with almonds, toffee and dark fruits. Slick mouthfeel with next to no carbonation. A little too sweet, not really to my taste.
