COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What began as mutual admiration between Sierra Nevada’s Grossman Family and Russian River’s Cilurzos has grown and progressed into genuine friendship. Brux began as an idea and has grown into something altogether different:

The liquid manifestation of change over time.

Refermented in the bottle with Brettanomyces bruxellensis, Brux will change and develop over time. Copper-colored, dry and complex, with slightly tart notes of green grass, pear, spice and lemon - this ale will progress in the bottle for many years.

Lightly hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of funky Brett, spice, sour citrus and apple, and hay. The taste is yeasty and a little sour. Fizzy mouthfeel and medium body; dry. It’s pretty good, but I think I should have held onto it a while before trying it.

Tap @ E9. Clear gold pour with a brief white head leaving no lace. Nose is lightly funky and citrusy. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. Barnyard, bandaids, bananas - a funky Belgian Golden with a bit of the wild. Finish is medium, funky and umami. Not as much tartness as I was expecting, but might age very nicely.

Sampled at DLD ’12. Pours a hazy yellow. Tart lemon aromas, nice and inviting with a light earthy hay note. Biter rind of grapefruit in the flavor. The bitter rind and pale malts are nice and refreshing. Good stuff. 8/4/8/3/16

Poured golden with a white head. Aroma is acidic tartness, earth, and fruit. Flavor is fizzy, fruity, light tartness, give it a year.

It poured a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus and a little funk. The taste was farmhouse, a little citrus, earth, fruits, some wheat malt with a light to medium mouth feel. A decent collaboration.

mikesaum (712) - Newark, Ohio, USA - JUL 25, 2012
Pours cloudy golden with thin white head. Aroma is sour smelling and slightly grassy, decent amount of brett. Taste is funky and has a light fruitiness with grassy hops that give it some bitterness, not as sour as it smelled, needs some age .
