UPDATED: NOV 24, 2016 From draft and unfiltered at Bryggeri Helsinki.Ernest (7787) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Lightly hazed gold body with a soft white head. Softly doughy nose at first with a clear development of lemon and spice. Couple that with a clean profile, small addition of yeast, smooth baked biscuit and light honey-flavored malt, stunning lemon oil hop flavor and pithy bitterness in the finish only growing more intoxication as it warms and opens. Quenching, hoppy, balanced. Better every time I drink it.
Draft at Helsinki Bryggeri.
Head is mostly lasting.
Body is hazy medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted bread), moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot), with notes of kumquat, gum, kiwi.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Excellent stuff, and having just come from Franconia that’s saying a lot...for an unfiltered lager, this is the real deal. Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 5, 2015
A hazed blonde pilsner with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with loads of grassy German hops, light mineral notes, fragrant and good. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy German hops, light mineral notes, light lemony notes, very nice and refreshing. On tap at brewery. Brigadier (3725) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - JUL 8, 2013

mauritsio (982) - FINLAND - MAR 21, 2014
My first of four samples indicates to me that the people behind this brewpub know their stuff. As a bonus it was on the cheap side (for Finland) which means if I had to spend more time in the area I would know where to go to stretch the budget. This might be their best beer or at least the one on tap at the time.
Aroma / Appearance - The coppery base and wispy white head sparkle with a bit of carbonation. Black pepper, cinnamon, and malts contrast with the hoppy bite. It is on the earthy side rather than floral as a good fresh beer of this style should be.
Flavor / Palate - The hops and malt ease the flavor profile into a waiting throat. Semisweet caramel bites carry the bitter transition to a hoppy finish. It lingers in the throat like an hour long sunset. To find something this good I usually have to go to brewpubs that specialize in Germanic styles.
Bottle from Pekan puoti, Tuulonen. Golden with low nonlasting head. Grassy hops. lasting bitterness. Fizzy carbonation.

0.4 l draught @ Bryggeri Helsinki. Very good. This has plenty of hops to make it tasty, but not too much to scare away those who don’t like really dry beers. Goes very well with herring and other salty fish. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 5, 2013
The head is good, the body blond. It smells hoppy, bitter, aromatic, bit malty. The taste is hoparomatic, bitter, bit fruity, malty, intensive. A special and very good Pils! 12/12/13/12/-/12 ramboraffe (2257) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2016

Pours murky yellowish with a small head. Aroma of buttery notes, grassy hops and malts. Taste is hoppy, grassy and slightly buttery with hints of citrus. Finish is dry and bitter with fruity notes. Okay, quite balanced pils. 3.1
Re-rated on 13.9.2013. Draught @ Bryggeri Helsinki
Crisp, clean and grassy pils with a nice bitterness and bready maltiness. Much more balanced than the Saimaa version. Top notch German style pils.
