Bottle from Systembolaget (10,1%). Dark with creamy, beige head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Taste reminds of coffee with a sting of alcohol. A bit bitter and sour finish.

EerieDrinks (197) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUN 9, 2017
2 finger light tan head. Very dark brown coloured beer. Aroma is yeast, vanilla, barrel, raisins, hint of liqourice and finally, a boozy plum-spirit note (something along the lines of Rakija). Taste is light wood, lactose, prunes and booze. Mouthfeel is very ’hollow’. Very light with a, at first, super soft but then high, stingy bitterness which feels very unbalanced when matched with such a thin body. It is, however, super smooth before the alcohol kicks in and it has a nice light sweetness to it. Overall: It’s just so unbalanced and all over the place but at the same time so weak and passive. When you concentrate on the tastenotes it isn’t bad but a thin, hollow bodied stout with an apparent alcohol kick is rarely good in my book. Can not recommend.

Flaska från SB. Mörk, brunsvart med beigebrunt litet skum. Smak och doft av röda syltade bär, kaffe, toffee, svarta vinbär, kola, fruktkola, hårt rostade inslag. Beska och brända toner i avslutningen. Drar åt lite olika håll, men helt ok.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2017 First rating
33 cl bottle I bought earlier from Systembolaget Beställningssortiment, sampled on October 29, 2015.
Marked 10.3% ABV, 2014 vintage, BB March -16.
Black color, tan head. Malty, alcohol, grainy, cocoa scent. Malty, roasted, grainy, dry aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Roasted aftertaste.
Had this side by side with the oaked version, there the oak made the beer even better and going back to this one made the original rather tame in comparison.
