Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, roasted, chocolate, coffee and notes of licorice. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness with some bitterness. Overall a good beer.

Not much christmas happening in this bottle. Drinkable, but only for getting another raring on you profile.

TorbenJensen (1576) - Valby, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2015
Black and fragrant porter. Fine notes of dark rye bread rises from the glass and has a beautiful rich and persistent foam. The taste is lots of licorice mixed although with coffee and bread and lots of hard roasted malt with sweet caramel tones. In conclusion, it is a little bit sweet towards dried fruit (maybe prunes) and only a small touch of hoppy bitterness. The bitterness is naturally in coffee taste and are great relief to its rich licorice.

50 cl. flaske. 6 %. Meget mørkt øl med kæmpehøjt lysebrunt skum. Årets første juleøl. Og så er den næsten lokal, fra Hobro. Super dejlig øl.

Bottle. 6.0%. Best before 03.04.14. Pours almost pitch black with a big fluffy tan head. Good lacing. Sweet aroma, malt, lightly roasted, dark fruits, metallic overtone. Flavour is roasted and sweetish with a remote smoked note. A bit watery. Roasted finish with a faint barbecue note, Lingering coffee bitterness and a grassy note. A bit too much carbonation. Overall okay, but flavour is a bit unbalanced. 05.10.13.
