UPDATED: JAN 1, 2013 Probably the best of the beers I sampled at Bubes (pronounced boobies) tonight. Lightly flavored roastiness. Very dark in appearance. Very mild for a schwartz and I like that. Well amnnered and friendly, love these easy going balck beers. Goes down in a smooth way. HAs a slight building bitterness about it but never gets in your face. Leaves a mild medicinal finish. Somewhat flat tho there is a detectable amount of fine co2 in there. egajdzis (6626) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 26, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 20, 2008 Poured a dark brown / red color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, light cocoa, buttery diactyl, and vanilla cream. Taste was equally rancid, with more diactyl, and a bit of sourness, in front of what roast and cocoa, may have been present beneath. Not a stellar offering from this place.
