1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2012 If you like heavy hard hitting IPA, ignore my numbers because this is terribly on style for such a beer. I just donít care for this style and I rate em as I like em. Slight hop aroma, less than expected for this type of brew. Darker red orange color. Yes, big and strong from the start. However, Iím not sure if it gets into the middle of a double IPA style. Perhaps its because ofthe freshness. Very little co2 but what is there makes it a little palatable to this lager lovers tastebuds. As session continues, that notorious mouth coating buildng back of throat medicinal soapy ipa thing starts to happen and never goes away. Tes, terribly on style for an ipa and itís fresh!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler shared on a fishing boat. Poured a deep copper with a decent off-white head. Nose is pretty hoppy, with plenty of citrus, fruit, and sweet malt. Taste is similar, though I thought the hops were not as forward as the aroma and the malt backing was a bit weak. The body was lightly carbonated and smooth. Overall, a nice IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brewed in the USA....... Courtesy of Rick from Bubes Brewery, thanks. Pours a caramel / amber color with zero head. Aroma of caramel and a hint of citrus. Taste is very malty with some mild hops. Not bad, but it was a week old.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler shared by one of the brewers. He apologized that it was kinda flat, he said that he had been holding onto it for about a week. It was a dark reddish amber with a small collection of off-white bubbles on top. The smells and the taste were full of juicy hops, very citrusy with a hint of pine and light caramel. Had the fullest body of any DIPA that I can remember but wasnít sticky or cloying. Pretty tasty despite the fact that they canít dry hop on their system and had to improvise.

Really nice brew. dark amber colour, nice thick body. not much of an aroma, but has a nice strong bittery hop taste to it.
