On tap, at brewery. Cloudy amber gold body with a small frothy white head that left some lacing. Pretty decent nose, lots of banana and yeast with some darker, almost Dunkle like quality to the wheat. Not bad flavor, still lots of over ripe bananas, but nothing in the way of clove. A little bland on the finish. Mouthfeel is fairly thick and a little chewy with soft carbonation. Decent, a little murky maybe, but pretty drinkable.

Cloudy banana blonde with decent carbonation. The beer body glows from ambient lighting. Soapy phenolic aroma. Simple banana and wheat flavors make for an uncomplex, lackluster try. Sour banana and yeasty finish. Under-developed, but palatable.

Sampled on tap at the brewery. Really nice banana clove aroma as a traditional German Hefeweizen ought to. Sweet and spicy with light Perle hops in the nose on top of wheaty sweetness. Cloudy butterscotch amber with lacing white creamy head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts wheaty with mild sweet banana character. Spicy finish with some clove and dull yeast bitter. Decent Hefeweizen, though a touch too bitter on the after and overall a bit watery.

Tap at the brewery. Slightly hazy yellow colored body, sticky sea-foam head looks really, really inviting. The nose is inviting as well, full of estery lemongrass and wheat scents, very fresh smelling. Sticky, low carbonation, light and a bit syrupy. Lacking depth, it’s very plain tasting with just some light yeasty lemon flavors, just lightly sour, but overall it’s kind of hard to taste anything in this beer.

On Tap. Pours a hazy straw color with a fluffy white head. The flavor has a very strong wheat component with a little cloves and banana mixed in but not a lot. This is not a great hefe and tastes closer to an american wheat, but it is not bad.

axilla (962) - New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2006
Pour was a cloudy, medium yellow/brown color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is mostly bananas with some strawberries, and bread. Flavors were banana nut bread with a kind of grainy mouthfeel. Not bad.

Medium golden color and very cloudy. Yhere is some fruity banana and citurs flavors which dominates - the souring effect of the wheat is almost non-existant. Not bad though.

Cloudy & hazy appearance, slighty dark golden in color, very nice soft lacy head, the flavors were way too fruity though, seemed like banana flavors but they were way too overpowering, other than that a very nice wheat beer
