Draft at Bubes. Pours copper with a slight beige head. The aroma is caramel, some light cashew, and even a hint of chocolate. The flavor is caramel, lots of almond, and some sweet chocolate (especially in the finish). There are some spicy rye notes, then some of those smooth fruity notes typical of a California Common. Prickly carbonation throughout. What a strange beer. Kind of a middleground between California Common and Marzen.
