Growler from brewery. Poured a deep orangish brown, more like a barleywine or IPA, with a smallish off-white head. Aroma is all-spice, cinnamon, light fruit, sweetness. Taste is similarly spiced, with lots of sweetness, some fruit. Body is rather watery and carbonation is mild. Overall, an okay warmer with a weak body. Sampled on tap at the brewery. Nice cinammon-clove aroma. Spicy and sweet like a ginger snap. Little bit of tang here - perhaps a bit aged but has a very nice nose. Sweet caramel-molasses in the malt, light hop character. Dark copper brown clear with thin off-white head. Medium watery body, a little chewy, with medium carbonation and light alcohol warming. Starts sweet with brown sugar, caramel, ginger, and light cinammon. Not bitter at all but the finish is not overpowering in its sweetness or spicy character. Just a bit salty and maybe a little stale.
