Had this beer with some ceviche for dinner in Panama. Worked. Just another macro pal lager that only really works on hot days.

Sold as Cubanero Fuerte. Faintly corny aroma. Sickly sweet with a chemical aftertaste. Looks like apple juice. A waste of money.

Served from a chilled 355ml can. 2 fingers of white foamy head with tones of dancing bubbles, thanks to the carbonation. Clear golden amber color. I don’t smell anything exciting. Even after all that carbonation it tastes flat, I think the flavor dissipates very quickly.

Poured from 355mL can [bb 27/11/2016]. Clear golden yellow with white head. Aroma of corn malt. Taste of corn malt with some very subtle hops, flavour dissipates quickly and is a bit watery.

Bottle from Drinks of the World Basel. Dark gold body with thin head. Nose is malty, yeasty, floral. Taste is also malty, and skunky, with some caramel notes. Not much to it.

Golden beer with a fizzy white head. Honey sweet nose. Brown sugar sweetness with some lightly toasted grains. A bit cloying but otherwise an unremarkable lager.

No coment. CONCLUSION : mieux vaut fumer un havanero que boire un cubanero … Foi de boucanier, qu’on se le dise !!!

This is a much better beer than Cristal, it’s not a good beer, but it’s better than Cristal. Nearly an amber pour, slightly bitter, taste of light grain, almost a passing grade.

Can brought back by Seth. Clear light yellow pour with a white head. Big Pilsner bouquet. Tasty like a Caribbean Pilsner. Average body and mouthfeel.

hauxe (477) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2016
Pours gold with a white and fizzy but fleeting crown. Very little aroma - a bit of malt with faint honey undertones. Taste is metallic, lightly malty, with a distinctive sugar sweetness that lingers on the tongue, although the finish itself is entirely forgetful and trends towards being watery. Light bodied with average carbonation. An unoffending companion to food. Something spicy might pair well with the lingering sweetness of this brew. Boring on its own.
