COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Orange Blossom Ale. Inspired by the rich fragnance of blooming orange groves, this copper colored ale combines the flavor and aroma of real orange tree flowers with a well balanced, full flavored ale to produce a real treat for the senses. Munich and light Caramel malts produce a smooth, creamy malt complexity, and American hops give the beer a bright, refreshing bitterness and dry finish. The orange blossom aroma blends superbly with the other beer flavors, providing a unique dimension that is the perfect complement to tangy, herbal or spicy foods, soft cheeses or pastries.

Saarlander (1920) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - AUG 31, 2011
Orange colour, decent size head, not much lacing, it smells good, floral, fruity, but the flavor is faint, tastes like a citrus tea, not bad, slight fruit, good on a hot day like today, but ugh...

oh god, its like drinking a candle! actually the aroma is nice and floral, like standing in a orchard in spring. pours a hazy almost orange soda color with a bubbly head. flavor is somewhat like honey and mildly doughy with a little spice. but the aftertaste-ugh. i couldnt finish it. like a little drinking perfume.

7/26/11. 16oz can. Goofy cloudy dark orange pour with a small khaki head that fades and leaves spotty lacing. Strange flowery orange aroma that reminds of soap and old lady perfume. Sweet orange flower flavor as well that again reminds of soap or a candle. Ends dry... an odd and not so great brew.

Pours a fading ring of off-white head with an amber body. Aromas is quite floral and sweet. Flavor is flowers, honey, some malt. Finish is dry, slightly bitter, lasting floral quality.

Had this beer while visiting a friend in CA. What a treat! We took it on a long hike and let me tell you, this is the beer you want to take. Very rewarding sitting by the lake sipping this fine brew. Smelled like being in an orange grove!

[email protected] Slightly hazy orangeish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is very zesty and flowery with some honeyish notes as well. Flavour is quite much the same along with some artificial sweetness and some mild medicinal notes. Mild cardboardy notes as well.

First Nevada rate thanks to dschiller, thanks Dave! Orange 16 oz can, Unfiltered orange-red color. Small, off white head. Smells sort of like gingered Sunkist, pretty artificial. Hmm. Really strange and unique beer. The orange blossom gives it a peaches and cream sweetness, some honeysuckle. Mellow, doughy brown malt current below the herbal, tropical orange. Interesting. Medium bodied, quite sessionable.

Draft. Poured a golden color with a small head. Aroma was sweet floral oranges, very interesting. Flavor was Oranges, floral notes, grains, sweet malts. A sweet beer, but quite interesting. Not really sure what to make of it, its certainly unlike pretty much anything I’ve had before.

Pretty good find--a bit too hoppy, but the orange blossom aroma is awesome (hits you before the first taste), and carries through until the aftertaste, which is regrettably flat and metallic (perhaps better on tap than canned)?
