Bomber. Clear paler copper, firm white foam settles and lasts. Muted caramel malty aroma. Taste is semi-sweet, slightly singed toasted caramel malts, mild herbal/floral/spiced British hops, somewhat bland and boring with a dirty aftertaste. August 17th, 2012 - Perhaps I should have had the Pandora Ale before the others, but this is, so far, the third in a list of disappointing brews from the Swans Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia. Although it is an American Ale, it’s light on flavor. Too light. The wispy body and ephemeral flavors are not unlike the disturbing frailty of the body of Mr. Burns from the Simpsons. There’s a light green apple crispness to the taste at the beginning of the taste, but it slowly collapses and crumples to the ground, leaving a sad, quivering blandness behind. The aroma, too, is faint and ghostly, giving off very few to no scents. Once again, Swans has delivered another underwhelming brew, all the worse for following so many other excellent specimens collected elsewhere in the Northwest. vadie (1257) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 11, 2014
Ambrée claire avec une petite mousse blanche. L’arôme du malt un peu sucré avec un petit bouquet d’houblon floral. Le goût est d’abord du malt et du caramel avec un finition légèrement amer.

Honey ale with brilliant clarity and no head, no surface foam. Sweet malt and a few eathy tones of hops. Some bland bitterness early with plenty of sweet malt. Super oxidzed. Mouth is a mod to heavy with lighter carb and slick finish. Overall wish there were some better hop applications here.

Tap. Pours a clear copper body with a small wispy white head that completely vanished. The nose is more caramel malt than hops, overly sweet with minimal floral hops. The flavor is not much different, rather sweet with minimal hops, save for a slight floral note on the finish. Light to medium bodied, a little sticky and clingy with soft carbonation. Below average pale ale. Slight aroma of hops. Pours copper with a little lacing. Not really very serious of a pale ale. It’s more pale than ale. On tap at brewpub.
