Draft sample. Poured a clear reddish color with an average off-white fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart berry and yeast aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium berry flavor with a medium berry finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer. timfoolery (1126) - California, USA - JUL 9, 2013
On tap at Swans in Victoria. Aroma and flavor of raspberry fruit beer. Very clean and crisp for the hottest days in BC (80s...come on). Still, a very refreshing and good beer.

Decently done for style - in the sense that it meets the average standards of a fruit beer. Tastes a bit sour like raspberry but who cares really. Pours reddish clear. Finishes a little sour. On tap at brewpub - thankfully my odyssey here is over. Gerbeer (3745) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 7, 2012
On tap. Pours red like watery raspberry juice with no head.light aromas of berries and malt. Raspberry juice with medium/full malt body. thb (829) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 24, 2011
Pretty nice drink! Deep red from the pub, minimal head. Aroma is brisk raspberries. Taste is mostly about the raspberries, which are delicious and taste real. Not syrupy like these beers can be - the raspberries here are about the sour. Enough of a beer background to give it depth and bitterness.

650ml bottle pours a deep amber color with about 2 fingers of white head that settles quite quickly leaving a few spots of lacing behind. Aroma is dominated by raspberry. Taste is raspberry with some underlying malt sweetness and a trace of hops with a dry tart finish. A pretty nice fruit beer. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 4, 2011
Sweet fruity syrup berry nose on top of a stronger blonde beer base. Pours amberish with some red tints. Berry sweetness, strong blonde wheat beer base. Lingering sweet berry notes. Perhaps a little too much berry sweetness for my liking, but I do like fruit beers so..... DeanF (2456) - Alberta, CANADA - FEB 15, 2011
Has a very nice ruby-red body and a good pillow of antique white head. The aroma is all kriek-style fruity syrup, not in the league of Cantillon but more in the league of Lindeman’s.... so what did I give a Lindeman’s Kriek? Oh, probably a six. I’ll assume it’s a six for aroma. The flavour is an odd mix of berry flavours that are muted by some odd cloying detergent crap that is just totally dragging the experience down, man. Somethin’s just off in this one, and it’s a shame - I was hoping to experience at least a British Columbian version of a mass-produced Belgian Kriek, but instead got a fruity mess that is just all over the place. I’ll still finish my 650ml bottle, though. HogTownHarry (6823) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 10, 2010
February 2010 - garthicus/blankboy/me minitasting. 650ml bottle shared by blankboy. Poured slightly hazy red-amber with an average white frothy head. Floral/grainy aroma surprisingly pungent, and while there was definite generic green treefruit in there, I was impressed by how grainy it was - these things are usually sugary fruit bombs (although it did have a hint of raspberry syrup, a la Italian soda). Similar taste, but not as sweet as I feared - very tart (think fruit w/ lemon juice) and pungent, less "beer-like" than the aroma. Average, slightly sticky mouthfeel, slightly astringent and sort of acidic, nicely carbonated, and quick-finishing. Really decent stuff, actually. jonas (7568) - Garching b.
