Rouge/cuivre avec une petite mousse beige. L’arôme des framboise et du malt anglais. Le goût est un peu du malt anglais et de la framboise. C’est un peu sucré et épais en bouche.

On tap at Swans in Victoria. Aroma and flavor of raspberry fruit beer. Very clean and crisp for the hottest days in BC (80s...come on). Still, a very refreshing and good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Swans. Smooth, but that’s about where the list ends. A bit artificial.

Bottle simply says "Berry Ale". Pours a soft amber with a mall layer of foam. Holy diacetyl, batman! Smells just like microwave popcorn! Taste has a faint tartness to it. Again, tons of diacetyl and light cranberry/gooseberry. Decent carb, thin body. Ouch ouch ouch!

Pretty nice drink! Deep red from the pub, minimal head. Aroma is brisk raspberries. Taste is mostly about the raspberries, which are delicious and taste real. Not syrupy like these beers can be - the raspberries here are about the sour. Enough of a beer background to give it depth and bitterness.

7/14/07 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is raspberry bubble gum. Appearance is similar to a regular American amber with a low head. Flavor is a raspberry/sweet malt blend forward, slightly sour, with moderate bittering and no hop character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium/high carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, this does keep some amber character, but it’s just not easy drinking enough.

pours a red colour with a very sweet aroma and super sweet raspberry taste almost to sweet to enjoy

Malakin (470) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 27, 2004
Dark amber with a fair bit of reddish. Malty raspberry flavour with some hoppyness in there. Raspberry flavour isn’t overly strong and fits in there nicely with the other flavours. Was torn between giving it a 13 and a 14.

lilannie (384) - Adamstown, Maryland, USA - AUG 5, 2005
Aroma: sweet rasberries, wheat, very light
Appearance: dark reddish-brown, small white head
Flavor: rasberries, some wheat/grains, light chemicals, bubblegum
Palate: aftertaste of sugary fruit juice and grains

Slight rose tint in the glass. Raspberry on the nose. Light hops. Little head. Pleasant but not a full bodied fruit beer. A patio sipper for a hot day.
