On tap at Swans in Victoria. Aroma and flavor of raspberry fruit beer. Very clean and crisp for the hottest days in BC (80s...come on). Still, a very refreshing and good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Malakin (470) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 27, 2004
Dark amber with a fair bit of reddish. Malty raspberry flavour with some hoppyness in there. Raspberry flavour isn’t overly strong and fits in there nicely with the other flavours. Was torn between giving it a 13 and a 14.

Pacific Northwest Vacation 2007

8/24/2007: Buckerfields Raspberry Ale has blueberry-like floral aroma and a berry flavor (blueberry flavor with a raspberry tartness). There is a light citrusy hoppiness and smooth maltiness underneath the berry flavor. The beer is medium-light to medium in body and has a mellow, mild palate. It really reminds me of an English Bitter with some berry flavoring added to it. I really though think that this is a pretty good fruit beer.

Draught sample at Swans Brewpub in Victoria, BC, Canada. Rating #14 for this beer...

Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 13, 2007
Smooth berry ale with a pleasing dry finish. Balanced and not too sweet. Lovely ruby shine and a fruity aroma. Refreshing, and hits the spot if you are in the mood for this style.

Draft sample. Poured a clear reddish color with an average off-white fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart berry and yeast aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium berry flavor with a medium berry finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer.

Tap at Swans. Cool reddish pour with a small pink head. Nice berry aroma and taste. Clean, easy drinker.

Nice covering up of the alcohol although I still found this beer to be a little to sweet and sugary, needed some sourness for balance. Pretty good and refreshing.

jercraigs (11087) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 4, 2008
2008-02-01. Bottle labeled Berry Ale. Dark amber body with a small off white head. Good amount of raspberry aroma is lightly tart with a perceived slightly artificial note to it. (6+) Sweet malt underlies a sweet tart raspberry flavour. Average palate. Alcohol is not noticeable. Pretty decent fruit beer but fairly plain overall.

reebtogi (6403) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 18, 2011
650ml bottle pours a deep amber color with about 2 fingers of white head that settles quite quickly leaving a few spots of lacing behind. Aroma is dominated by raspberry. Taste is raspberry with some underlying malt sweetness and a trace of hops with a dry tart finish. A pretty nice fruit beer.

The Great BrewDad Victoria Pub Crawl - Great Fruit aroma and flavor. This was a very good fruit beer.
