COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
While the trend is to go to extreme levels of hoppiness, we at Bucket think a great beer should be more than just its IBUs. We start the recipe with a variety of malts designed to deliver a toasty, nutty flavor and a satisfying consistency. We then add our hops in our own unique way to deliver more of the full flavor and aromatic profiles of the hops without extreme bitterness. The result is a bucket of floral aromas and notes of tangerine.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt dark orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that swiftly fell apart. Sliding lace. The aroma had some sweet to bitter floral and citusy hops up front with a pinch of white pepper and a sturdy caramel malt base. The flavor was moderately sweet with a balancing spice of the white pepper. Aftertaste was the citrusy hops and malts. Not much of a finish. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, decent APA, not sure if the white pepper was intentional but I liked it.

12 oz can. Deep dirty brown pour with a tiny off white head. Aroma dominated by caramel malt. Huge malt backbone that drowns out any sense of hops or depth. Boozy finish.

Sampled at 3rd annual RI Brewfest; Flavor starts lightly sweet with pale malt base with caramel hints. Lighter body, nearly thin and very grainy. A dusty grain flavor shows throughout the brew. I get very little, if any hop profile at all. This one needs some work.
