22oz bottle. Pours a deep brown with a quickly disappearing tan head. Brown sugar sweet aroma. Some fruit flavors with just a tiny hint of brett. More sweet than sour or tangy. Not bad, went well with the pork I ate it with. BuckeyeBoy (8469) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 30, 2007
22oz Bottle Pours out a nice drown topped with a small off white head. a Nice aroma of sweet, spice and yeast. A pretty nice and spicy tast like a spice brew. I think it is pretty good. Thanks SS. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - DEC 29, 2007
22 oz. bottle thanks to a trade with ogglethorp. Pours a hazy brown with some red highlights when held to a light. Thin off-white head that completely disappeared after the first sip. Pleasant aroma of caramel, brown sugar, candi sugar, and just a hint of dark fruits. Flavor is pretty much the same thing, although despite the sugar flavors, the beer is not that sweet. Short finish that was a tad thin as well. Cute label. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 26, 2007
(Bottle, 2006 vintage) Pours a dark mahogany body with a moderate creamy beige head. Nose of plums, raisins, caramel, spices, and microflora (would have swore this was Jolly Pumpkin yeast in a blind tasting). Flavor of raisins, apple, plums, brett, and clove. Pours a translucent brown amber with little to no head. Aroma of dark fruits, vanilla, Belgian spices, nuts and caramel. Flavors of the same, on the dry side. Lots of Belgian spices and caramelized malts.

22oz, presumed fresh for winter 07, not bad beer, tastes mildly belgian with a super fast disappearing head and the typical dark fruit and perhaps clove that is expected... not bad an easy drinking dubbel. MrBunn (2848) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 15, 2007
Bottle... Label is kind of fun. Pours a dark brown with a finger or so of head that dies back very quickly. Aromas are of dark fruit, candi sugar and a touch of maybe some anise. Flavor is a nice mix of the above that comes off as well crafted and nicely balanced and complex enough for my tastes. b33r (881) - Ohio, USA - DEC 4, 2007
Brown color with small off-white head and no lacing. Overall a really weak beer. Faint malty aroma. Flavor was weak, boring, watery, and really lacking. Simple and light. I don’t see any complexity as others have listed. No spices or raisins- very one dimensional malts. I was hoping for a little bit more out of this beer and was quite disappointed. Did I get a bad bottle? I hope so. ultraspank (867) - Alverca, Lisboa, PORTUGAL - DEC 2, 2007
Haven’t had a chance to bust out the mighty HAMM’S goblet in quite a while. Smells like bubblegum, big league chew to be exact. Pours sparkling ruby and I mean ruby. The fully diminishing frothy beige head leaves no lace. Malty and sweet, the brew has a medium level of acidity, the finish is slightly warm and sweet. The medium to full body is creamy and lively. The finish feels a smidge alcoholic. emerson430 (95) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - NOV 26, 2007
A wonderful winter warmer ... alliteration? A stellar Belgian style Dubble that teases with clove and candy flavors. Just the right amount of hop balance and yet retains the strong malt flavors. This beerr only develops over time. Highly recommend!!!
