Buckeye lake blonde pours a golden yellow with a thin head of white small bubbles. Nose is crisp grain with light hops. Taste is lightly sweet with a decent light roasted malt body. finishes cleanly with just a touch of good bitters. Body is thin, fluid with light carbonation. a decent blonde ale. coming in a two pint can doesn’t hurt either.

10/28/2014: The Blonde is a lot like a Pils. Pils and biscuit malt with a hefty dose of grassy hops. Light and effervescent. Decent overall, but not something I am in the mood for right now. Draught at the Buckeye Lake Brewery.

jsquire (4492) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - NOV 26, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Golden color with a quickly disappearing egg shell head. Light grainy nose. Some muddled grainy flavors with a grapefruit pith bitterness, some buscuity dough and grassy hops in the finish. Actually pretty flavorful for a brewpub blond.

JaBier (7973) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Sample at the brewery. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt and light hops. Sweet malt flavor with a crisp noble hop finish. Straightforward and drinkable.
