Bottle. Pours black with a creamy beige head. The aroma is fruity hops, spices, roasted malts and light chocolate. The flavor is dark roasted malts, exotic fruits, chocolate and licorice. Nice one.

Bomber aged a year in the cellar brought by ck1 from Vintage Estates, thanks bro. Pours a very dark brown with little head. Aroma has cocoa and some fruit and soy. Taste is of sweet caramel, with chocolate and hints of sweet pitted fruit (peach? mango?). A sweetly bitter finish. A bit cocoa-y. A strange blend with the cocoa and the fruit. Shrug? A decent brew - ck1 also a 14. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - APR 15, 2013
Bomber from trade with DrSilverworm. Pours pitch black with a big khaki head that fades normally, some lacing too. Aroma is roasty and chocolaty. Pretty nice. Light fruitiness too which must be the tropical fruit. Taste is sweet and bitter at the same time. Medium roast, light chocolate, tropical fruit, licorice. Finish is smooth but leaves a slight chalky taste. Thick and creamy mouthfeel. Solid stout. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - DEC 15, 2012
22 oz. bottle via trade with DrSilverworm - Pours a dark brown color with a one finger thick tan head. Very light lacing. Aroma is roasted malt and light cocoa. Flavor is lightly sweetened roasted malt with hints of coffee and chocolate. Finish is slightly bitter and dry. Medium body. A good beer. Thanks Chris. radarsock (1194) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 14, 2012
200th RATING! Bottle, supplied by Drsilverworm -- many thanks! Pours a deeply fixed mahogany cordovan brown with a delightfully creamy head. Smells instantaneously of wet and dry hops, dark chocolates, rose pedals (it’s a floral note that doesn’t seem to characterize anything else), balsamic vinegar; cherries, sawdust and liquorice on its finish. Finally a Foreign Stout that’s easily drinkable, has as much depth in its tastes as in its aroma and put quite frankly, done right. I’ve discovered hops, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, raisins, peppercorn, coffee dregs, liquorice root, walnuts and an aloe vera-like herbaceousness while happily sipping this magnum opus beer.

22oz bottle from Dutch’s Bar & Bottle Shop in Cincinnati, OH. Pours a very deep brown, mostly black colored body with a finger-width, creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet caramels as well as a light chocolate and molasses up front with a moderate dark fruitiness and a light roast backing. Flavor is sweet initially with a pretty woody hopping. Plummy dark fruits, caramel, chocolate, and a light molasses before an ashy roast comes in. Finishes sweet, but somewhat bitter and dry from the ashy roasts and woody hops. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, this grew on me more as it warmed. Pretty sweet, but very roasty and fairly bitter. Hides the alcohol well and stays pretty easy drinking. Not bad. Shaftie (218) - , Maryland, USA - APR 14, 2012
Wow, thanks Santa, this was WAY more than I had expected. Usual suspects, nice smooth mouthfeel. Nutty, dark chocolate. The backend lingers with that burnt dark chocolate taste forever, really a well done brew. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 8, 2012
22oz bottle. Good, brown head. Black color. Good lace. Nice, drier texture, bigger body. Ligther, crisp carbonation. Slight oiliness in the aftertaste, but it’s not too bad. Great, hoppy aroma, on a roasty dark malt chocolatey base. Some dark and tropical fruity aromas. Nice, bitter sweet roasty taste. Very enjoyable hoppy stout. drfabulous (7948) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAR 19, 2012
22 ounce from Martys Hops and Vines. Black pour. Big chocolate and roasted taste. Slight cherry and turn in there. Nice. Daytonbeer (730) - Ohio, USA - FEB 19, 2012
Pours black with off white head. Moderate lacing. Aroma is light with chocolate and coffee. Taste is better than the aroma. Coffee and lots of dark friuts. Warm going down. Enjoyable Stout.
