This brew pours black with a medium dark tan head that diminishes slowly to a film. Rings of lacing on the glass. Notes of burnt malt, coffee and caramel in the nose. Medium body with a roasty character and flavors of malt, black coffee and fruity hops. The finish is moderately dry with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Solid beer all around. 22oz bottle. Good, brown head. Black color. Good lace. Nice, drier texture, bigger body. Ligther, crisp carbonation. Slight oiliness in the aftertaste, but it’s not too bad. Great, hoppy aroma, on a roasty dark malt chocolatey base. Some dark and tropical fruity aromas. Nice, bitter sweet roasty taste. Very enjoyable hoppy stout.
