1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Why ask why? Exactly. A cheaper alternative to Bud, and very bland, boring and ordinary. Belongs in the beer case next to Natty, MGD, and Coors.
memory rating....use to drink this in high school...many memories partying in abandoned railroad cars....good times...ok flavor...did the trick...malt heavy. Couch0508 (119) - Flat rock, Michigan, USA - JUN 20, 2015
bud dry was never pleasant experience for me when I had it. This needs no further explanation. slowrunner77 (12037) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAR 15, 2015
From memory: liked this one better than regular ol bud only cause it wasn’t as skunked, usually. Kinda "liked" the dryness too, if only by comparison. alexsdad06 (10378) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 3, 2015
Cleaning up my old backlog notes so I thought I would throw this in too. Typical clear pale yellow crap. Corn, grainy, skunk, there is a reason this is retired. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - AUG 7, 2014
Though retired, here’s my take on this one.
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into pint glasses and pilseners over the years of this one’s life.
The appearance was a light semi-golden yellow color with fast rising carbonation trying to fill a bubbly white head. The head was there for a blink and just dissipated with nothing left in its wake (there’s no lacing).
The smell was a dried sweet corn.
The taste was exactly the same.
On the palate, it was pretty light on the body with a dry sessionable of sorts kind of feel. Sharpness does pound my tongue into submission.
Overall, pale lager, well hopefully, the world won’t see this again. Please keep this retired.

Super cheap and you can drink a ton. Why people expect anything more is beyond me.

32oz bottle found in my dad’s basement. Pours a clear pale yellow with minimal head. Aroma of corn and skunk. Taste is about the same, except worse. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and no finish. Overall, it’s shit. But it also could be because it’s a 5 year old AB product shealoftus14 (16) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2011
this beer didn’t have much flavor, nor is it smooth or pure. It goes down fairly easy and doesn’t have much of an aftertaste. Dont get it alot because it is too bitter. BDawg82 (74) - Jackson, Mississippi, USA - MAR 25, 2011
Bud Dry is better than Bud Lite but not as good as Budweiser. I should end it right there, but here it is: It smells a little weird, like it has a skunkier flavor that it actually does. It is lighter in color than Natty, has almost no head, and is finely carbonated. It has no body, very thin and watery, and leaves absolutely no aftertaste (which from my understanding is the point of Bud Dry). It has no apparent characteristic of malts, and has a very lightly hopped flavor. Don’t cry for its apparent demise, though I will, for the sake of fairness, yield to Bud Dry one deserved concession: it is one of the most refreshing beers available if, for example, you are the sort that has to have a beer with you while doing yard work in the Deep South in July. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 15, 2010
Poured form a Circle K 32oz bottle. A little more flavor than the plain bud light, more grain flavors, no sweetness, its bud dry. hell yeah mother f’ers!
