UPDATED: APR 15, 2005 Clear and pale yellow with a foamy -- but quickly fading -- head. Smells like an energy drink. Soft texture with a prickly carbonation. Very sweet base (probably from "natural flavors," rather than from the malt). Big notes of synthetically sweetened apples. A strange, tangy bitterness surfaces a couple of seconds after swallowing. Aftertaste isn’t very appealing, with some very odd flavors and aromas (i.e., plastic, chemically fabricated fruit flavors, odd bitterness). A sticky residue lingers in the back of the throat after swallowing, making it kind of cloying. Overall, it’s like the offspring of a diet energy drink and a bland beer. Drink a bunch in a row and it could be a heart attack in a can.
This is what you get when you mix Budweiser with something similar to Sparks. Because of the fruity stuff that is added into this Bud drink, it’s more flavorful that the typical Bud. They are sold in ten-ounce cans.
