Pours a cloudy hazy colorless mess with a thin white head. Aroma and flavor both are completely limeade. No sense that this is in any way beer. As a beer it is nasty. As a limeade it is refreshing.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2014 Whereís the beer? Seriously, Lime-A-Rita smells and looks like lime extract. Tastes like it too, except with the sickly sweet burn of the 8% ABV. The final line of the description scared the shit out me: "...meets a growing demand among adult drinkers seeking sweeter alternatives." Thatís terrifying. If anything, this is "beer" for the Coke and Pepsi generation. Thereís virtually no sign of barley or hops anywhere in this brew. No self-respecting adult should ever be caught drinking this. It pains me that the can has to state that this beer "Contains Alcohol." Thatís the sole thing that Lime-A-Rita has remotely in common with real beer.

Make it so. Cloudy UTI piss test pour. Nose of limeaid, booze, and sulfur. Flavor is lime juice with a boozy tinge. Cracked salt and corn. Semi-sweet, yet tart from the lime. Could be much worse, I guess. Not remotely beer-like.

Tall boy can: Lime and tequila nose, mainly lime. Milky yellow, headless. Tangy light body, much stronger presence of tequila. Does not resemble beer, more like a highball. Bleh.

Can: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy sour mix, light sugary lime, and a touch of tequila. It basically smells like a margarita with a little added sweetness. It pours a hazy dull yellow with fizzy white head that fades to nothing almost instantly. It kind of reminds me of Mountain Dew in appearance, just not quite as bright. The flavor starts with light-moderate sour mix. The finish has moderately sweet lime, a hint of salt, and some signs of the 8% abv. Itís medium bodied with light-moderate slightly fizzy carbonation. Overall, Iíve always been a little curious about this beer as I do enjoy a margarita every once in awhile. This is a little sweet and soda-ish though. It wouldnít be the worst thing to drink as a quick thirst quencher on a hot day, but I donít I could drink more than one 12oz can. Iíll say itís a tolerable beverage, but definitely not something I want in a beer.

236 ml can from The Beer Store. Pours a murky ultra-pale straw colour - sort of a really sickly-looking urine colour. Aroma is quite sweet - not remotely beer-like but actually smells reasonably like a margarita with lots of artificial lime. Flavour is again, rather like a margarita although the artificial taste of the lime sticks out; a little salt is even apparent. I donít know how to rate this exactly. As a beer its a miserable failure. But it at least doesnít have all the off notes of a standard macro - these are totally masked by the phony margarita flavour.

Can thanks to Joe! Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has notes of lime, earthy corn and lots of sweetness. Flavor is full of sweet lime lime and has heavy carbonation.

16 oz. can poured a lemonade color with a bit of initial white fizz that crackled away. Aroma is basically a margarita, sweet lemon, syrup, and a touch of bud light hiding in the background. Mouth feel is fizzy with sugary cocktail coating. Flavor has a pop of lime, margarita mix, sweet and sour with a soda pop like finish. I am not sure how to feel about this but it is somewhat the ultimate soda. Unbelievable amount of sugar in this can though at 58 grams if my math is correct.

Pours a fizzy light green/yellowish colour. It has a slightly sweet, limey aroma. The taste is of lemon/lime soda with some chemical notes here and there. Hard to see how this is beer, but Iím drunk and chowing down on a burrito al pastor and some frijoles, so itís not too bad from where Iím standing. Still, I wouldnít really compare it to beer, but more of a cooler type drink.
