The beer based margarita is now introduced with strawberry flavoring. This is our take on the traditional margarita. Beer drinkers were already mixing Bud Light Lime into margaritas to create ‘beer ritas’; Lime-a-Rita just adds a new level of convenience by providing a beverage with the perfect balance of flavors.

Tall boy, Shell Station. Misty, bright coral colored, next to no head. Bad can. Smells like Tahitian Treat. An interesting flavor, relative to the smell -- very sweet, a little saline, a little musky, some cactus/veggie notes. Warming. Clingy, syrupy body with a strawberry jam aftertaste. I’m not sure where the line is between beer and shandy and alcopop, but this is swerving near it.

Can 24oz. Poured reddish amber color with a minimal fizzy white head that mostly diminished with little lacing. Aroma was moderate strawberry with a lime spice tone. Flavor was moderate strawberry with a heavy sweet fruit finish of short duration. Medium body with sticky texture and soft carbonation. Below average fruit beer that was worth having once.

Poured from 8 oz can. Red, no head. Smells of strawberries, light lime. Taste is strawberries, some sweetness, lime. Slight acidity with heavy carbonation. Not a beer. Okay strawberry mixed drink in a can.

Pinkish red with a fizzy carbonation like soda. Smells like Budweisers version of strawberry artificial flavoring. Tastes of the same with light artificial strawberry flavoring with a hint if light lime and a touch of margarita mixer. Honestly, the non-strawberry version is way better. This is like Bud Light’s flavored wine cooler.

Pour out of can, clear pink pour with dissipating pink head, aroma is salt, strawberry juice, margarita mix, and lemon. Taste is the same, lemon, margarita, orange, strawberry juice, finishing sickly sweet. Yeah, it is what it is.

Can. Pours a hazy reddish color with a small fast disappearing white head. Has a fruity strawberry lime aroma with weak hints of tequila. Fruity sweetish strawberry flavor. Has a sweetish strawberry finish.

Tiny can, what is this - 8 oz? Actually a lot less offensive than the regular version, but the strawberry notes (albeit artificial in nature) don’t make up for the strange qualities that this imparts - margarita notes - strange. Still pretty unappetizing. How hard is it to just make a margarita?

Whoa tastes like crappy syrup. Bad aftertaste. I don’t like this at all. Lady next to me agreed.

"... Perfect balance of flavors" is not inaccurate, the problem is none of those flavors is very good on its own, let alone mixed together. Syrupy strawberry and powdery fruit punch with mild lime tang.

botttle at craig’s july tasting
light pink, thin, fruity, more aritificial than other two, but then not a big fan of strawberries. fills a gap in market i suppose.
