You don't know the worst of American macrobrews until you've tried Bud Light. Poor taste, poor texture, poor everything. Panzuriel (2333) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - AUG 17, 2002
Crap crap crap. I'd rather drink water and pretend it was alcoholic........ GABeerMan (48) - HOSCHTON, Georgia, USA - AUG 15, 2002

Ha! What a joke... no aroma, appearance is like tapwater, flavor... can you say rice water? Palate is non-existant, I'll give it an overall rating of 6, just because it's good for parties. jsquire (4563) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - AUG 13, 2002
UPDATED: APR 7, 2008 Bub light is a perfectly acceptable American diet beer. Yes, its watery, but I like the flavor and balance. You can drink a ton of these, and when the bar serves three kinds a light beer, this is the one to choose. But like the other reviews, I would drink almost anything else if its available.

No enjoyment whatsoever. So thin looking, so watery. I had this from a cold tap and it was free at the hotel I was staying at, but even so, I couldn't bring myself to drink much--a waste of effort. Jayb0 (1212) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - AUG 12, 2002
must be ice cold and on tap. Can be enjoyable as a thirst quencher. Spicy food will mask aftertaste. Finish quickly. Best when free. Much more preferable than bad full-caloried beers. smolkinsquid (13) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 11, 2002
Only if Miller products aren't available. This still has a possible hangover threat, but not as much as Bud Heavy. cold199 (4) - Alabama, USA - AUG 9, 2002 does not count
Why is this so popular? Face it,it's bad beer.
That 'spoiled' aftertaste is present in all Anheiser-Busch products. JPDIPSO (6262) - Wauwatosa, USA - AUG 5, 2002
Veyr light straw this a whispy head. Faint aromas of mild hops. Flavors of cotton candy and simple sugar dryness. Little aftertaste worth mentioning.
