We are celebrating 500 years of Reinheitsgebot with this very unique sour ale. A collaboration with the good Germans from Buddelship, this "impure" beer is full of oats, wheat, rye and barley, and was soured with fresh sauerkraut infused with mango and pineapple. It may not adibe by the German Purity Laws, but remember, reines bier gefaehrdet die gesundheit.

Bottle. Lightly cloudy, amber color, faint white head. Tart, sour, some old cork aroma. Very dry and sour taste, higher than expected bitterness. Complex aftertaste, it has some very uncommon fruit notes and a nice sourness, which isnt very lingering. Exceptional thick and creamy, oily texture, with a low carbonation.

330ml bottle from Biererei Berlin

Smells of tartness and sauerkraut, some vinegar and white fruit. Some hay, lemon and the tart apple notes remind me of some lambics I’ve had.

Pours hazy gold with white head.

Taste is sour, very Belgian character. Love the way how cabbage is delicately there, yet not in an unpleasant way. Very nice sourness level.

Body is extremely thick for a sour beer. Great fullness! Carbonation on a low side makes it stand out even more.

Overall I loved it! What a great beer. I have shared it with a friend who owns a bar, very into sours himself, and he loved it too.
