Schwarze Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger Geruch mit Kaffee und Schokolade. Geschmacklich röstmalzig mit Kaffee, Karamell und Schokolade. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, röstmalzig bitterer Abgang. Mittlerer Körper mit aktiver Kohlensäure. Gutes Schwarzbier.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 12.02.18. Copper to ebony. Beige head. Interesting aroma and taste of medium dark malt, bark and cigar box. One of the better schwarzbiers.

hauxe (1063) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JAN 26, 2018
Pours dark brown from the bottle. An attractive creamy head lingers and sticks to the glass. Aroma is burnt to roasted grains, and dark chocolate, but on the whole fairly restrained. Taste is full of roasted bitter flavors up front, trends towards the sour spectrum at the finish, but on the whole a nice balance is maintained between the two. Body is medium with a mild carbonation. Overall: tasty.

Bottle. Close to black body with a big, creamy, dense beige head. Aroma has dark, roasted malt with a hint of coffee. Flavor is medium sweet, roasted dark malt, coffee and some chocolate. Medium body and average aftertaste. Decent, but it somehow did not hit me so much. I like Schwarzbier, but think this becomes a bit anonymiuos somehow.

Bottle, [email protected], Flensborg. Pours deep black with a medium, frothy, beige head. Aroma has roasted malts, dark chocolate, dusty notes. Medium, prickly carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has hard roasted malts, dark chocolate, hazelnuts. Nice chewy malty centre. Great, lingering malty bitterness.
