Originally rated January 2006. Last of the Budels brew, part of the 6 pack I got from the LCBO. None of the other brews got my attention, let’s see with this one. Pours a darker colour, like caramel and cola together. Head is tanned, foamy and fizzy, with good retention and very nice lacing. Lively carbonation. The nose had some roasted malts, molasse and hints of Oud Bruin scents, right after pour. It disappear a few minutes after. Medium-bodied palate. Very pleasant taste with some caramel, toffee, raisins and roasted malts. By far, the best Budels, and the only one that is worth trying. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 11, 2011

Colour is nice. Decent and average scoring beer. Didn’t take too many notes, since it’s nothing too special. bu11zeye (13140) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - APR 11, 2011

Bottle at Arendsnest. Clear deep red brown beer with a good pale tan head. Creamy malt nose. Softish palate. Softish creamy malt. A little nutty with subtle fruit and a whisper of bubblegum. Semi soft and semi dry finish. Just a nice nutty malt beer that hangs together really well.
