COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abbey beer, ruby colour, top-fermentation beer, outstanding owing to its soft flavour and fantastic aroma. This beer’s name comes from the French Capuchins, who had a monastery in Budel at the beginning of the last century.

Good brown redish body, with scarce withe head, great aroma mixture of roasted malts, the taste is gently bitter wit a pleased end of caramel and alcohol, a good example of Duthc ales.

TET (3232) - Kaarina, FINLAND - APR 18, 2008
Brown beer with thin beige head. Flakes of yeast is not very temptating. Aroma is very sweet: mallts and sugar. Flavour is not aroma-like but sweetness is appropriate, roasted and rather bitter. Surprisingly watery to drink because sugary aroma and flavour normally makes body to more dence. Changes better when beer is warmer. This is too typical beer without anything personal.

wyzzywyz22 (2752) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2008
Bottle, de Wildeman, Amsterdam. Dark brown colour, thin white lingering head. Malty, chocolate, raisin.aroma. Taste is more of the same, quite sweet and smooth, but lacks a knockout punch somehow.

2.8
austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - MAR 30, 2008
Dark brown, small beige head. Lightly malty aroma with some spices and pear. Flavor is quite syrupy with little peppery spices and fruits, mainly pear. Finishes drier with little bittering hops. Light to medium bodied, a bit sticky palate. Thin and overly sweet.

2.6

Brown and transparent with minimal head. Brown bread aroma with some yeast and a touch of corn. Slightly sweet with some bready malts. Some sweetness and brown sugar but otherwise quite bland.
