COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abbey beer, ruby colour, top-fermentation beer, outstanding owing to its soft flavour and fantastic aroma. This beer’s name comes from the French Capuchins, who had a monastery in Budel at the beginning of the last century.

330ml brown bottle. Reddish brown. Head retention rather poor, leaves a thin white layer on top of the beer. Nice aroma, dark malts, chocolate and raisins. Chocolately, caramel, malty taste. A bit light in body, would have liked a bit more mouthfeel.

Bottle pours clear brown with a nice beige head. Aroma of dark malts, syrup/caramel, herbs. Taste same, middle to high sweetness and little bitterness. It’s a nice and easy double, but quite sweet.

Gehbe (442) - Vilnius, LITHUANIA - SEP 11, 2016
Pours clear deep amber with a staying beige head, decent lacing. Lovely lovely nose of cookies and apples, also toffee, toast, baguette, citrus, a bit of banana, spice and earth. Tastes medium sweet with ljghter sourness and some crispy bitterness in the background. Medium body and carbonation, sticky finish. Wonderful aroma and great balance.

Lekker nederland abdij bier. Zoete dubbel met een mooie dikke schuimkraag. Jammer dat het zo slecht verkrijgbaar is.
