UPDATED: FEB 25, 2006 This beer reminds me of a film without actors: it has NO CHARACTER. It also kinda reminds me of Kate Moss, after the whole cocaine incident: like her, this is THIN AND PATHETIC. I can’t make this clearer: this is barely even a beer. Where’s the head, the body, the flavour? Frustrating. At the same time, it’s better than some of the crap honey lagers we get here...better to taste like nothing than compost. bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 26, 2005
I can smell the honey in the beer and unfortunately it is not what I like smelling in a beer. Straw coloured body with a poor head. My boss woud call this an AFL....another f***ing lager, only he would still drink it, and probably enjoy it. The taste is pretty bland, grain and honey combine together, but not in a good way, fairly thin and one is more than enough. OlJuntan64 (1264) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 12, 2005
Pale yellow with almost a hint of green? large bubbled medium small short lasting head. Aroma - hardly any, faint bitter lemon grain with wiff of floral hops. Lowish carb almost flat thin body. Candy lemonade sweetness over the top of a bit of sour grain and a lick of bitter hops at the end. Err . . still looking for the honey. blankboy (7884) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 12, 2005
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a flat clear gold with a spare diminishing white head. Mild aroma and flavour of honey and grain. Thin body. There’s nothing overly offensive about this beer it’s just bland and boring -- like a weak macro honey Pilsener -- but there’s nothing to recommend about it either. Blah. Bottle (330ml). Shared with Blankboy - Budel giftpack adventure 1 of 6. Poured clear flat yellow with a white fast-diminishing head. Aroma of - surprise - honey (fairly clean), sweet white wine, mild grain - not offensive or vegetal, although that’s faint praise. Taste is brackish honey, with cardboard and a hint of solvent. Mouthfeel is sticky but thin - overall sweet, sticky, boring and flat - flat is a theme with this brewer.

Bright yellow-gold hue, with almost no head, sweet honeyish- pale malt aroma follows through on a light-bodied sweet palate, with a zesty sweet citrusy charecter, with a honeyish note pale malt, leading towards a sweet lemony and a very subtle note of bitterness in the finish. Piss-like and highly carbonated body topped with a thin white bubbly head. Weak and bad hoppy aroma with apple (!!) hints. Tastes like carbonated water with a tiny touch of honey. No aftertaste at all. A very bad start for my Budels gift-pack... NoiZe (2394) - Zeist, NETHERLANDS - OCT 21, 2005
This one is far to watery to be enjoyable. Very, very clear colour. Taste is a bit honey-like, but.. watery. mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 31, 2005
pale yellow, no head. aroma of hay, apple and mild honey. apple juicy flavour with honey spread on untoasted bread. caesar (7397) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUL 9, 2005
Clear light yellow color, short white head. Pils brewed with some honey. Makes the beer pretty sweet, but the honey is not too overwhelming. So quite nice balance, but it is still a budels brew.
